Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet our team, and transfer to Arusha Coffee Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation: Arusha Coffee Lodge

Day 2: Rongai Gate to Simba Camp

Begin your trek through lush forest alive with birds and monkeys, ascending gently to Simba Camp for your first night on the mountain. Camp: Simba Camp

Day 3: Simba Camp to Second Cave Camp

Trek into the moorland zone with expansive views of Mawenzi Peak and surrounding plains. Camp: Second Cave Camp

Day 4: Second Cave to Kikelewa Camp

Continue across scenic moorlands, gaining elevation steadily until reaching the dramatic setting of Kikelewa Camp. Camp: Kikelewa Camp

Day 5: Kikelewa to Mawenzi Tarn Camp

Climb to Mawenzi Tarn, a stunning high-altitude campsite beneath rugged Mawenzi spires. Optional acclimatization hikes in the afternoon. Camp: Mawenzi Tarn Camp

Day 6: Mawenzi Tarn to Kibo Hut

Traverse the stark alpine desert to Kibo Hut at the base of the summit cone, resting and hydrating before summit night. Camp: Kibo Hut

Day 7: Summit Day – Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut

Start at midnight for the summit push. Reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise, then descend to Horombo Hut for rest and celebration. Camp: Horombo Hut

Day 8: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate – Return to Arusha

Descend through alpine meadows and rainforest to Marangu Gate, collect your summit certificate, and transfer back to Arusha. Accommodation: Arusha Coffee Lodge

Day 9: Departure – Goodbye for Now

Enjoy breakfast before your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home or onward journey.
